My Favorite Movie

Watching movie is one of my favorite activity in my free time. I think movie is just so cool. Why? Because it can makes people’s imagination become a visual picture so we can see it too. There are so many kind of movie genre such as Fantasy, Action, Sci-Fi, Adventure, Drama/Comedy Drama, Horror, Thriller, Animation, etc. But I would rather choose Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Adventure and Animation genre than the other else. I just love to watch a movie that need a higher imagination of mine. I like drama too, there are several drama movies that I had watched such as Bride Wars, The Princess Diaries (starring Anne Hathaway, one of my favorite Actress), 27 Dresses, New Year’s Eve, The Vow. But it is not as amazing as a Fantasy Movie. I don’t know, I just feel like an amazing feeling while I was watching a Fantasy or Sci-Fi Movie. There are too many fantasy, sci-fi, adventure, and animation movie that I had watched. Harry Potter, Frozen, How to Train Your Dragon (The second Sequel will be coming soon on June, can’t waiiit!!), The Chronicles Of Narnia, A Superhero Movie (Most of them from Marvel) which my favorite is Iron Man, Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, The Hobbit, The Lord of The Ring, The Hunger Games, and soooo many else that I can’t mentioned it one by one.

Which one of my favorite movie?

From all of my movie that I had mentioned, there is one movie that made me want to watch it over and over again. That movie is Avatar! Maybe there are not many people to make this movie as their favorite movie. Nevertheless, Avatar is a movie which has the highest grossing movie all the time after surpassing Titanic as the highest earnings movie before. Avatar and Titanic have the same director. And the person who had made such those amazing movie is James Cameron. James Cameron got his inspiration in making Avatar just from his dream. One day he had a dream about some of “blue people” come to him and he started to make an idea about a movie which told about “the blue people”. Avatar released in 2009, but actually James Cameron started making a script 10 years before. Avatar got first ranking in Box Office at its first day of release. Avatar released in 2D and 3D format. But you must pay more attention when you watched in 3D format because the subtitle isn’t available yet haha. But without subtitle, you will be keep your eyes open caused by a beautiful of the world of Avatar.

Avatar told about Jake Sully, a disability former marine that had to replace his twin brother position as operator of Avatar. His twin brother died because he was killed. Jake become a bodyguard for Dr. Grace and his scientist friend, Dr. Norm. While protecting Dr. Grace and Dr. Norm when they were collecting biological data from the forest, Jake’s Avatar is attacked by a Thanator and run away to the deep of forest. He is saved by Neytiri. Neytiri took him to the Hometree because Neytiri see the sign of Eywa in Jake. With the permission from Neytiri’s father and Mo’at, her mother, Jake started to learn about a life of the Clans. Neytiri who has a charge to teach Jake about everything of the village. At first, Jake just a marine that accepted an order from his colonel to learn about the Hometree. But after 3 months, Jake realized that he started to falling in love with the forest, the people in that village, and Neytiri. Because of Jake’s hesitation about his duty, colonel Quaritch made his own act to destroy the Hometree. The destroyed Hometree made the Clans, Neytiri, Jake and the others angry. So They made a force from all of clans to fight back colonel Quaritch. Before the battle began, Jake prays to Eywa to help them win these battle. Jake’s pray heard by Eywa. When they started to lose from the war, suddenly all of the creatures help them to win these battle.

With the exceptions of Jake, Dr. Norm, and a few other scientists, all humans are expelled from Pandora and sent back to Earth. And after that, Jake is transferred permanently into his avatar with the aid of the Tree of Souls.

Why I Love This Movie?

I love Avatar because the beauty of Avatar world, Pandora. I love anything about nature. Nature is a beautiful gift from God. Avatar thought us about to keep a beautiful gift from God that can’t be replaced by anything if it was damaged by ourselves. Jake Sully did his best to keep Pandora World from damage by human who doesn’t have their concern to keep what have to be kept.

               

I’m just like falling in love with the nature of Pandora and all of the creatures. When the night, all of the natures and the creatures in the forest light like a firefly in the night. All of them have a blue light. It called as bioluminescence. In fact bioluminescence phenomena is exist. Bioluminescence is the production and emission of light by a living organism. Bioluminescence occurs widely in marine vertebrates and invertebrates, as well as in some fungi, microorganisms and terrestrial invertebrates. Some symbiotic organisms carried within larger organisms produce light. I ever saw it once, a little fish that has a blue light. Such a beautiful! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it. But here I have some of picture of the Pandora forest.

What a beautiful nature. I always hope that such these place is really exist. It would be one of the happiest thing in my life if I was able go to there.

Who is my favorite character and actor in the movie?

My favorite character are Jake Sully and Neytiri. I love how they loved each other and struggled together in keeping their forest safe. Their relationship feel strong along the beauty of the forest. Jake Sully is played by Sam Worthington and Neytiri is played by Zoe Saldana. I like both of them. Sam Worthington is a handsome and cute guy hihi. Another movie that starring Sam Worthington is The Clash Of The Titans as Persius, son of Zeus. And for Zoe Saldana, she has an unique beautiful on her face. She has a sweet smile. I love her. Zoe Saldana played as Uhura in Star Trek too.

So that was one of the most favorite movie of mine. Actually there are two movie that I like as much as Avatar. How to Train Your Dragon and Peter Pan. Peter Pan has become a part of my childhood life. An unforgettable movie ever, ever, and ever.

               

Movie is an art. There are so many positive lesson that you can be learned from movie. Don’t take the negative side from movie, just take the positive ones. It so good to refresh your brain from all the tired matter. If you have a free time, just go to the cinema and watch an amazing movie ;)
